"Do not yield to discouragement in the face of difficulties and do not abandon yourselves to false solutions which often seem the easiest way to overcome problems. Do not be afraid to make a commitment, to face hard work and sacrifice, to choose the paths that demand fidelity and constancy, humility and dedication. Be confident in your youth and its profound desires for happiness, truth, beauty and genuine love! Live fully this time in your life so rich and so full of enthusiasm."
"Let us look with greater hope to the future; let us encourage one another on our journey."

Our Sweet Girl

Finishing the Story

About our trip north....

To recap a bit - we headed north to go through school books and watch Bella (the dog) and to house sit.  Nina and Papa, along with Uncle Matt and Christa, headed out to Ocean Grove for a week.  Uncle Mike (Minamina) was at Scout Camp all week so we had the house to our selves!

We got a few things done though i would have liked to do a lot more.  Here are some pictures of a few things that kept us busy that week:

As promised, the dog eventually got her bath.  It had rained almost everyday so it wasn't until Saturday that we were up to having a wet dog around for a bit.  THEN Sunday she decided to play with her friend (my brother's dog - who LOVES mud!).  Needless to say, they both got a bath on Sunday...2 baths in 2 day - Fun!

We had time for a picnic one day.  Sandwiches and m&m chocolate chip cookies.  Our blanket is white with flowers so it was REALLY bright out there!

Someone gave us some Ballet leotards among clothing for Meg.  The girls decided to dress up.  the outfits are the exact same size! Too cute!

Friday night we visited Uncle Mike at Scout Camp. We were an hour and a half late but dinner was still hot and the crayfish were still alive. (those were not to eat, just too look at!)  The kids got to see the tent that Mike slept in as well as get a brief tour of the camp (it is rather large) Then we saw the field where they had a HUGE fire - 11' x 11' in size, approximately.  The ashes were still burning days later!

Star Feather had a chance to visit friends while up north....she even managed to get invited to the pool!  We got to see Great Aunt Pat and Great Uncle  Bob as they traveled home from NJ.  We headed back down south on Monday and were just happy to see daddy again.

Hey!

Well, the camera is not cooperating ...and that is the whole point of this right?  So you can see the kids.

We are back down south.

BUT ....the dog did get her bath!  Bella escaped it until Saturday...then she got one on Sunday too! That was Uncle Greg's fault!
If Gypsy (Uncle Greg's dog) didn't like mud so much ...well ...need i say more?  We were so busy cleaning dogs we missed the photo op there,  but here is Bella.

ok, so its from last fall ...but like i said, the camera is not cooperating!  We'll have more pictures soon.
